Acts 2 · Real-time translation

Speak once.
Heard in every tongue.

So everyone hears in their own tongue.

Jesus Speaks is a real-time translation app, built by a missionary with the local church in mind. It’s simple enough for one volunteer with a phone, and powerful enough to carry your whole service into 87+ languages at once — every listener reading it on screen and hearing it in a natural voice. Run it from a single phone or wire it straight into your sound system.

The speaker says

We hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues.

A listener hears

Nós os ouvimos declarar as maravilhas de Deus em nossa própria língua.

Features

Built for the moment the message goes out

Real-time translation

Translation streams as the speaker talks — no waiting for the sentence to end.

87+ languages

A broad catalogue spanning the languages of your city and the field, growing on request.

Natural spoken voice

Listeners hear a warm, natural voice — not a flat, robotic read-out.

Built for the hard of hearing

A dedicated view shows transcription of both the spoken source and the chosen language side by side — read every word, no audio needed.

Low-bandwidth ready

Runs on a simple cell-phone data connection. No fast Wi-Fi, no special network — just enough signal to load a page.

Every word, never skipped

If the translated voice falls behind, it speeds up to catch up. It never skips ahead, so listeners hear the whole message, not a summary.

Sound-system ready

Tie into your soundboard and broadcast to the whole room or to personal listening devices. Don’t own the gear? Contact us for referrals.

One-to-many

A single speaker reaches up to 87 listener languages, all at the same time.

Nothing to install

Share a QR or link; listeners open it and choose their tongue. That simple.

Capture any source

Translate from a microphone, your sound system, or a video call — pull in a browser tab or your computer’s own audio and send it straight through the pipeline.

Unlimited free listeners

You’re billed for the languages you run, never for the people listening. Bring ten or ten thousand — listeners are always free.

Upload context for accuracy

Upload a sermon outline, glossary, or name list and Jesus Speaks uses it as context to sharpen both transcription and translation — so the names, places, and terms your ministry uses come through right.

Quick Phrases, on command

Save the lines you use every service — a call to prayer, a welcome, an announcement — and send them to every language instantly, with no retyping in the moment.

How it works

Four ways to integrate it into your environment

Run it as simply as one phone, or wire it into a full auditorium. Every listener chooses their own language.

01

From a single phone

Open the app, tap start, and share a link or QR code. Listeners join in seconds — no setup, no booth, no hardware. Ideal for a small group, a field team, or a church plant.

02

Wired into your sound system

Connect a laptop to your existing soundboard and play translated audio through the house speakers or your livestream — filling the whole room at once. It slots right into the AV you already run on Sunday.

03

Listeners on their own phones

Each person scans a QR, picks a language, and reads the live transcription while hearing it spoken in a natural voice — right from their pocket.

04

Out to listening devices

Broadcast translated audio straight from the AUX port to wireless listening receivers — often the very headsets and bodypacks you already use for human interpretation. Reuse the gear you own; no new hardware.

One speaker. Up to 87 languages at once.
Supports 1-to-many translation and audio out — every listener in their own tongue, simultaneously.
Languages

From 56 languages into 87 — minister in nearly every context

From the languages of your city to the field where you serve. Don’t see one you need? We add languages on request.

Use cases

Wherever the message needs to land

Churches & pastors

Sunday services

One room, many nations, one Spirit.

Welcome a multilingual congregation, multi-site campuses, and newcomers — each worshiping and following along in their own language.

Conferences & events

Conferences & events

Reach every nation in the room.

Keynotes and breakout sessions translated live, with no interpreter booths or per-seat receivers to rent.

Missions organizations

Missions & outreach

Cross the language barrier the moment you arrive.

Field teams and church plants share the message from a single phone, wherever the work takes them.

Translation & teaching

Bible teaching

Make every word accessible as you speak.

Seminaries, training intensives, and outreach ministries open teaching and Scripture to learners in their heart language.

On your video calls

Bring live translation to Zoom, Teams, Meet & Webex

The call doesn’t have to stop at one language. Jesus Speaks listens to your meeting’s audio and turns it into live captions and a natural spoken voice — so a missionary leading a Bible study, or a global team in a Monday standup, can each follow in their own tongue. It runs in the browser: no interpreter on the line, and no plugin to ask your IT team to approve.

Works with Zoom · Microsoft Teams · Google Meet · Webex

01

Start a room

Open Jesus Speaks and start a room — you’re ready to listen. There’s nothing to install in Zoom, Teams, Meet, or Webex, and no plugin to get approved.

02

Point it at the meeting audio

Meeting in a browser tab? Open Setup, hit Share tab audio, pick the tab, and tick “Also share tab audio.” On a Windows desktop app, choose “Entire Screen” and tick “Also share system audio.” On a Mac desktop app, route it through a virtual audio cable (such as BlackHole or Loopback) and pick that as the input — macOS doesn’t expose app audio any other way.

03

Add your own voice, if you like

Speaking on the call yourself? Mix your microphone in alongside the meeting audio — hold-to-talk for a quick aside, or always-on to narrate. The call audio always comes through; your voice rides on top only when you choose.

04

Send the link to your people

Share a link or QR code. Each person opens it in any browser, picks a language, and immediately starts reading live captions and hearing a natural voice — beside the call, nothing to download. One operator can serve up to 87 listener languages at once.

A note on how it works: the translation reaches your participants on the Jesus Speaks link you share — not back inside the Zoom or Teams call itself. It’s a one-way bridge: we listen to the meeting and deliver the translation to your listeners’ own screens (or a room sound system), so the original call stays exactly as it is while everyone who needs translation follows along beside it.

“At this sound the multitude came together, and each one heard them speaking in his own language.”

FAQ

Questions, answered

Do listeners need to install an app?+

No. Listeners scan a QR code or open a link in any browser, choose their language, and immediately begin reading and listening. Nothing to download.

How does the audio reach people?+

Two ways: listeners hear it privately on their own phones, or you connect to your sound system and broadcast translated audio to the whole room or your stream.

How many languages can run at once?+

A single speaker can serve up to 87 listener languages simultaneously, drawn from a catalogue of 87+ languages that keeps growing.

How does billing work for languages?+

The language you speak is free. You pay per minute for each output language while it is running. Your main language runs for the whole service; every other language starts when a listener requests it and stops shortly after the last listener leaves. Flipping direction mid-service is still one language at a time, and your Reports page shows the hours for every language.

Languages and billing explained →
Does it ever skip words to keep up?+

No. If the translated voice falls behind the speaker, it speeds up to catch up. It never skips ahead or drops words, so every listener hears the whole message, not a summary. In ministry, every word matters.

What equipment do I need?+

Just a phone or a laptop to get started. For larger venues, connect a laptop to your existing soundboard and AV — no special hardware required.

Is it truly real-time?+

Yes. Translation streams as the speaker talks, delivering live on-screen transcription and a natural spoken voice with minimal delay.

What internet connection is required?+

Very little. Jesus Speaks runs on a simple cell-phone data connection with low bandwidth — no fast Wi-Fi or special network needed, just enough signal to open a web page.

Does it work for the hard of hearing?+

Yes. A dedicated accessibility view shows live transcription of both the spoken source language and the listener’s chosen language side by side, so every word can be read with no audio at all.

Can I use it on a Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or Webex call?+

Yes. Jesus Speaks listens to your meeting’s audio and translates it live for your listeners. If the meeting is open in a browser tab, capture that tab’s audio; on a Windows desktop app, share your screen with system audio; on a Mac desktop app, route it through a virtual audio cable. Your listeners follow on their own screens through the link you share — a one-way bridge, so the original call stays exactly as it is. There’s no plugin to install in any meeting platform.
